Lucille
C. Fontaine, Esq. has
over 20 years of legal expertise including business litigation,
EEOC - Title VII employment conflicts as well as the Juvenile/Dependency
and family law arenas. She has presided over litigated matters as
Judge Pro Tem in both Superior and Municipal courts since 1985 and
has mediated civil and criminal Superior Court disputes, as well
as Federal Agency and private sector matters. Her diversified credentials
include extensive sales, marketing and supervisory positions in
the corporate world including a major airline. Lucille is also licensed
by the Ca. Dept. of Real Estate and has significant real estate
experience. She is an active member of the Southern California Mediation
Association and serves on various committees including the SCMA
annual conference committee at Pepperdine University.
Lucille has
a reputation with other professionals for possessing the ability
to combine her legal and business acumen, knowledge and education
with empathy, productive listening and sensitivity. She tailors
her ADR approach to the parties' individual needs resulting in
an impressively high resolution rate.
ADR TECHNIQUES:
Lucille is trained in and practices facilitative, evaluative,
transformative and collaborative ADR.
EDUCATION:
Lucille earned her AA and BA degrees on scholastic scholarships
from Vernon Court Jr. College - Newport, R.I.and Chapman College,
Orange, Ca. She is a member of the National Honor Society and
the R. I. Honor Society. She holds a Doctorate of Law -Jurisprudence
(JD) degree in addition to holding a certificate in Dispute Resolution
-Mediation from Harvard Law School. She is certified as a mediator
by the LA County Bar Association Dispute Resolution Service and
studied Labor Management Arbitration Mediation with the American
Arbitration Assn.; and advanced ADR with the American Bar Association.
Her practice currently focuses on Alternative Dispute Resolution
and Collaboration.
