Additional Information:

As the former Assistant General Counsel for a multi-state financial institution, who managed all significant litigation across the company's footprint as well as handling her own litigation portfoilo and as sole inhouse employment lawyer, Jill Switzer uses both facilitative and evaluative methods to gain the trust of the parties (and their counsel) to guide them to solutions that are in their best interests. Having tried more than forty cases to verdict as a deputy district attorney, Jill understands that going to trial is a gamble, and that the best resolution is one that the parties fashion, rather than having one imposed upon them. Sometimes the parties want resolution in forms that a trial can't provide. Jill works with them to craft creative resolutions, believing that resolution is not the same as merely "settlement."

Counsel should feel free to call Jill to talk with her before selecting her as a mediator. Jill believes that the selected mediator should be a fit for the parties, counsel, and the matter.
